Keep a Food Journal!

You know, I didn't believe it until I saw it on the biggest loser, but it's true! A food journal really helps you to make conscious decisions about your food choices instead of just going with whatever your stomach says. It's really crazy too once you start looking at all the calories you're consuming. One website I found that was really helpful was http://www.thecaloriecounter.com/. They help you find out the nutritional information for everyday items like fruits, veggies, etc so if it doesn't have a label on it, just go to their website and do a search for it. Sometimes you just have to guesstimate a little as well.
